Job Title: Financial Risk Manager

At Aegon, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the global framework for measuring and managing financial risks in the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess financial risks, and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and management.
  • Provide financial subject matter expertise to the CFO and CRO on financial risk-focused items, such as ALM and hedging initiatives.
  • Maintain financial risk aspects of the ERM Framework and set risk strategy.
Requirements:
  • Completed Master's degree in econometrics, physics, mathematics, or actuarial science.
  • At least 6 years of experience in financial risk management, with 3 years in a similar role.
  • Technical experience in investment and mismatch risk management, derivatives, and hedging.
  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical topics effectively.
  • Expertise in complex hedging and performance reporting.
  • Integrity to uphold risk management principles and mandates.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to challenge conventional practices and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Planning, prioritizing, and goal-setting skills.
  • Experience in an international corporate setting is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language in speech and writing.
