Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Manager to join our team at Aegon. As a key member of our global risk management team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the framework for measuring and managing financial risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess financial risks, and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and management.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to business units on financial risk management, including asset liability management and hedging initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the ERM Framework, ensuring that financial risk aspects are properly integrated and managed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in econometrics, physics, mathematics, or actuarial science.
  • At least 6 years of experience in financial risk management, with 3 years in a similar role.
  • Technical expertise in investment and mismatch risk management, derivatives, and hedging.
  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to challenge conventional practices and pursue continuous improvement.
