Compensation Overview
Salary Range: $66,000 - $83,246.00
Position Summary
As a Commercial Support Officer for Bids and Proposals, you will engage in the preparation of proposals and pricing discussions. Your responsibilities will encompass direct communication with clients and the coordination of all customer service activities within the bidding and proposal framework, ensuring execution aligns with corporate policies, legal standards, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across departments to clarify RFP requirements and gather insights for bid completion.
- Thoroughly assess estimates of materials, labor, and one-time charges to ensure they meet client requests for quotes.
- Collect and evaluate data, conduct status meetings, participate in departmental and site meetings, provide timely and accurate information, strategic support to the executive team, and maintain historical bid records.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, management, and/or government representatives.
- Assist in preparing quote presentations for site management, develop within the role, and negotiate pricing with clients.
- Support the organization’s commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and protecting the environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and governmental regulations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5%) as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Program Management, Finance, or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in business development within manufacturing and/or production operations.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a US Citizen in compliance with ITAR regulations for export compliance and site SSA requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TINA is preferred.
- Familiarity with ITAR/EAR regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR Government Contracting is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Proficient negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
