About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Lead to join our team at ACE development & engineering. As a Mechanical Project Lead, you will be responsible for setting up and developing machine concepts, managing designers and drafters, and ensuring the technical documentation of your projects is up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop machine concepts and manage prototype machine construction
  • Manage one or more designers and drafters
  • Establish and maintain contacts with customers and suppliers
  • Closely monitor projects and participate in the start-up phase as needed
  • Ensure the technical documentation of your projects is up-to-date
  • Manage budget and work distribution, and calculate projects
  • Report to the Project Manager or Business Unit Manager
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electromechanics or equivalent through experience
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience as a project leader or (Chief) Designer in mechanical engineering
  • Good knowledge and experience with Inventor (or another equivalent 3D CAD package)
  • Familiarity with applicable standards and machine guidelines (CE)
  • Independent, communicative, and experienced in managing people
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and budgeting
