Software QA Automation Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Automation Engineer to join our team at eVision Industry Software B.V. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Sustainability, EHS and Risk Management software products.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test automation frameworks to streamline our testing processes.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing software products, ensuring seamless integration with our product development cycle.
  • Collaborate with our Quality department to identify, share, and nurture best practices in code health, testing, testability, and maintainability.
  • Set up infrastructure to run tests, including CI/CD, parallel testing, and test data management.
  • Submit, track, and escalate product issues found during testing, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Mentor and train other engineers as required, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
  • Work closely with product and development teams to contribute to planning, design, and code reviews, ensuring test scenarios align with product requirements.
  • Interface with product and R&D departments to effectively communicate and resolve reported issues before product release.
  • Participate in continuous integration, deployment, and automation testing strategies, driving process improvements.
  • Stay aware of code changes impacting test coverage and execution, ensuring our software solutions meet the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Experience with QA processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant software testing experience.
  • Proficiency in Javascript or other coding languages, with experience in design, development, and execution of automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture concepts, including AWS/Azure, and experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure/AWS DevOps, GitHub, TeamCity, SonarQube, Artifactory, GitHub actions, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing is a plus, along with excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, security testing, and testing tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
