Job Title: Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at the Radisson Blu Hotel Amsterdam Airport. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Service Team, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of our food and beverage department, ensuring that all aspects of the guest food and beverage service experience are delivered to the highest levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Food and Beverage Department: Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of food and beverage services, ensuring that all aspects of the guest experience are met.
  • Improve Guest Satisfaction: Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries.
  • Deliver on Plans and Objectives: Deliver on plans and objectives, ensuring that food and beverage initiatives and hotel targets are achieved.
  • Supervise the Food and Beverage Team: Supervise and mentor the food and beverage team, fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance within the department.
  • Control Costs and Inventory: Accountable for ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders, including guests, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Lead Departmental Programs: Take the lead to deliver departmental programs that advance service standards, profitability, and cost control.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure adherence and compliance to all legislation, where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Food and Beverage Service: Proven experience in food and beverage service, with a strong understanding of hospitality operations.
  • Supervisory and Managerial Skills: Strong supervisory and managerial skills, with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
  • Commitment to Guest Service: Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service, with a passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to find creative solutions, with proven problem-solving capabilities and a willingness to support colleagues as required.
  • Personal Integrity: Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.
  • IT Skills: Experience of working with IT systems on various platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, colleagues, and suppliers.
