About the Role

Optiver is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Researcher to join our team in Amsterdam. As a Senior Quantitative Researcher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced mathematical models to drive our trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement complex mathematical models to price options and predict market volatility
  • Collaborate with traders and software engineers to develop and optimize trading algorithms
  • Develop statistical arbitrage strategies using high-frequency market data sets
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in our trading models
  • Mentor and guide junior researchers to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements
  • PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful mathematical models in a trading environment
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
