We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD researcher to join our ERC Starting Grant project on multiple jobholding. The project aims to understand the quality and consequences of working multiple jobs, and we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to this research.
About the ProjectThe ERC Starting Grant project "Moonlighting: Understanding the quality and consequences of working multiple jobs [MOONLIGHT]" is a cutting-edge research project that studies the quality of work and wellbeing of contemporary multiple jobholders. The project will rely on new comparative cross-national and dynamic data to investigate the quality and wellbeing of multiple jobholders in seven advanced economies.
Job DescriptionThe PhD researcher will be responsible for conducting research on the quality of work and wellbeing of multiple jobholders, including data collection and analysis, literature reviews, and writing research articles. The researcher will also participate in meetings of the project research group, courses and training activities, and contribute to project tasks, meetings, and activities.
Requirements- Master's degree in a social or behavioural science, such as sociology, economics, psychology, or a related field
- Scientific research skills or willingness to learn them
- Proficiency in quantitative data analysis and a strong motivation to enhance these skills
- Collaborative, team-minded, and pro-active attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

We offer an employment contract for one year with a probationary period of two months, with the possibility of extension for another three years upon favorable evaluation. The salary ranges from € 2,425 (in year 1) to € 3,115 (in year 4) gross per month on the basis of a full working week of 38 hours.
