About the Job

ASML is seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Projects, Programs and Change team. As a senior portfolio manager, you will play a key role in driving world-class project, program and portfolio management across ASML's business lines and research & technology.

Job Description

As a senior portfolio manager, you will be responsible for managing a clustering of hardware/software projects that are needed to successfully introduce next-generation machines to our customers. You will work closely with business counterparts to optimize business value, drive effective decision-making, and implement project standards and processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Challenging the triple constraint (scope, timing, budget) as a recognized business partner to optimize business value
  • Driving effective decision-making on all levels as a trusted advisor to the Product Development Manager and his cross-sectoral Product Team
  • Acting as the Project Management expert within the cross-sectoral Product Team
  • Implementing and improving project (program) standards and processes, e.g., related to project planning, financial management, product generation process, reporting, change control, risk management, and quality
  • Providing guidance during the financial forecasting (budget) process and proactively assisting regular financial management and reporting
  • Proactively connecting, enabling, and challenging all stakeholders, including finance counterparts, business line and program counterparts, sector representatives of customer support, and manufacturing
  • Driving completeness of all inputs from deciders in the product generation process
  • Growing people and team competences of PMO and ASML's Project Management community
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's- or master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, project management, engineering, or other relevant fields
  • At least 5 years of working experience as PM(O) expert in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, preferably in a high-tech environment
  • Experience acting and influencing in a senior stakeholder environment
  • Experience with implementation of change and improvement projects
  • Experience with MS Project Online or a similar tool
  • Experience in an Agile/SAFe environment is preferred
Skills

You should possess excellent communication skills, being able to influence without hierarchical power, and creativity in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders. Additionally, you should be able to maintain personal effectiveness and people focus under pressure, high speed of change, and uncertainty.

You should also have the ability to guide, coach, and advise at all organizational levels to effect sustainable change and improve the project and process maturity level of the organization. Furthermore, you should be a team player, enjoy working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, and be able to work independently.
