The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving > 40,000 employees.
 

Role and responsibilities

As the Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for the establishment of the Long-Term Asset Maintenance Plan. You define the asset maintenance project portfolio for next year (YAMP), ensure funding, and drive the execution of the approved asset maintenance projects in the running year.

Besides these annual process cycles you also manage the Request for Change process where functional/technical asset changes are evaluated and initiated and align with the LTAMP and/or YAMP.

You manage a portfolio of studies that originate from operational disturbances or incidents where proper preventive actions need to be investigated and defined.

You work closely with the facility shutdown manager to optimize the execution of planned asset maintenance activities without effecting business continuity.

Peers in your team are the Technical Facility and Services Managers, Operations Improvement Manager, Facility Shutdown Manager.

You will report to the Manager Operations/Tactical Asset Management.

Your tasks

Create / Update the Long Term Asset Maintenance Plan (LTAMP) plan.

Manage the LTAMP-process cycle, included relevant improvement projects.

Use all available asset management data, the priority model and de input from stakeholders to create a balanced 10-year LTAMP&B.

Work out detailed Asset Maintenance Project Year Plan

Translate the LTAMP to a more concrete and detailed project portfolio for the next year.

Define the funding requirements for this project portfolio.

Ensure proper administration of project proposals and execution.

Oversee project execution

Manage the portfolio of projects and activities related to the LTAMP Y and Y+1, and manage priorities, ensuring alignment with the relevant specialists and other stakeholders, and drive execution and progress

Manage the portfolio of projects resulting from the Utilities Master Plans as well as those initiated throughout the year, ensuring alignment with the relevant specialists and other stakeholders, and drive execution and progress.

Manage the execution of surveys (condition assessment, insurance, risk assessment, asset inventory, etc.)

Manage the portfolio of studies that originate from operational disturbances or incidents that required 3rd line support and proper investigation or study.

Manage / coordinate the Request for Change (RfC) process for functional/technical changes, securing the necessary input/review by relevant specialists and connecting and informing all stakeholders

Education and experience

Completed bachelor or master degree in engineering, asset management, business administration or equivalent.

At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment.

Strong leadership skills.

Analytical.

Experienced project/program/portfolio manager (PM-BOK, etc).

Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing, creating room for innovation/creativity, coaching & collaborating.

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with senior and medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants.

Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.

Excellent decision making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties.

Fluent in spoken and written business English.
