Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in a fast-paced environment, performing routine and unexpected tasks to support plant operations.
The primary schedule for this role is Monday – Friday days, with overtime hours during turnaround, shutdowns, nights, weekends, and on-call periods.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure all related equipment and tools are kept clean, maintained, and stored properly.
- Conserve maintenance resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies.
- Safely operate and maintain cultivators, edgers, and power mowers for lawn mowing, trimming, and other groundskeeping activities.
- Keep grounds free of debris and maintain roadways, parking areas, and sidewalks.
- Safely operate and maintain power tools, portable pumps, forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, trucks, skid steers, snowplows, and front-end loaders.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including greasing, fueling, oil & filter changes, belt inspections, tire inflations, and cleaning/washing of surfaces.
- Work overtime hours as required, including turnaround, shutdowns, nights, weekends, and on-call periods.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience operating snow removal equipment.
- Experience operating/handling power and hand tools is preferred.
- A basic mechanical aptitude in vehicle maintenance/repair (side-by-side, golf carts, trucks, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
- Carpentry and building maintenance skills are also desirable.
- Knowledge of mowers, trimmers, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to be detailed and thorough in completing work.
- Reliability, responsibility, and dependability, with a strong commitment to fulfilling obligations.
- A self-starter with excellent time management skills, able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize work to meet targets and deadlines.
- Able to handle a high volume of projects safely and efficiently.
- Able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb straight ladders, with some work requiring heights over 100 feet.
- Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
- Wearing a respirator when necessary to perform inspections/job duties.
- Confined space entry may be required.
$45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
