This internship is an excellent opportunity for a vocational or bachelor/HBO student with a strong affinity for IT to gain hands-on experience in deploying and supporting the Virtual Compute Platform (VCP) at ASML.
About the Role
As an intern, you will be part of the Digital Platform team within the Customer Support sector, responsible for preparing ASML's customers for the installation and maintenance of the VCP. Your main responsibility will be to support the team in deploying the VCP and owning the technical calculations to support that deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the amount of resources required (CPU, RAM, disk, #VMs) to run a VCP (customer use case dependent);
- Determine exact hardware needs for our customers based on resources required;
- Validate adequate data center set-ups at our customer sites;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to realize a successful installation, including interfacing with different cultures.
Requirements
- You are a vocational (MBO) or bachelor/HBO student with a strong affinity for IT;
- You have basic IT knowledge: understand networking set-ups, security, hardware (i.e. storage, compute) and virtualization (i.e. VMware);
- You have strong communication skills: be able to articulate problems, collaborate within a team, outspoken and doesn't hesitate to ask for help or questions;
- You are able to complete individual but also team tasks, are organized and able to document your work.
