Credit Risk Model Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Risk Model Owner to join our team at ABN Amro. As a key member of our Model Ownership and Oversight department, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of credit risk models, with a focus on Climate and Environmental Risk (CER) initiatives.
Your primary objective will be to ensure the quality and accuracy of our credit risk models, while also driving innovation and improvement in our risk management practices. You will work closely with our Modelling, Model Validation, and Model Risk Management teams to ensure that our models are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement new risk management strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of our risk management framework. Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of credit risk models, with a focus on CER initiatives.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of our credit risk models, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Modelling, Model Validation, and Model Risk Management, to drive innovation and improvement in our risk management practices.
- Develop and implement new risk management strategies, aligned with our risk management framework.
- Contribute to the development of our risk management framework, ensuring it remains aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Academic education in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, or mathematics.
- 2-10 years of experience in a relevant position, with a strong understanding of credit risk models and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of the CRD/CRR framework and credit risk model related regulations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and able to steer discussions, with a strong focus on delivering results.
