About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Controller to join our EMEA HQ finance team based in Hoofddorp. As a key member of the team, you will support the Finance Team in financial reporting and controlling activities, and play an active role in the planning process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively support in the financial closing procedures of 5 reporting entities, ensuring reconciliation of sales, controlling of accrued and prepaid positions, and other relevant closing procedures.
  • Perform cost controlling and analysis on various areas such as rebates and SG&A.
  • Support the finance team in the planning process, forecasting of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash-Flow.
  • Coordinate the internal audit process, providing support in documentation and review of standard operating procedures.
  • Own the non-stock purchase order process, supporting users and following up on outstanding issues.
Requirements
  • A relevant bachelor's degree, e.g., in accounting or control.
  • At least 2-4 years' work experience in an international commercial environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially in Excel (advanced user).
  • Knowledge of relevant ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards, but this is not essential).
  • Proficient in the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Effective and direct communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative.
  • Strong analytical thinking.
  • Flexible, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with business intelligence software Tableau (or similar) is desirable but not essential.
