The Role

We are seeking a Technical Specialist Hydrodynamics to join our Naval and Technology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, advice, and engineering of hydrodynamic systems for complex naval shipbuilding projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with design teams to optimize hydrodynamic performance during proposal and engineering phases
  • Conduct hydrodynamic simulations, model tests, and sea trials to ensure designs meet performance standards
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and research institutes to incorporate hydrodynamic insights into the design process
  • Collect and analyze operational data to validate and refine hydrodynamic performance and enhance future projects
  • Develop innovative methods and tools in collaboration with academic and research partners

Requirements

  • Master degree in Naval Architecture or a related field, with at least five years of practical experience in hydrodynamics, focusing on proposal and engineering phases
  • Thorough understanding of fluid dynamics, particularly in complex naval projects
  • Experience working in complex project environments and with academic research, including the creation of new methods and tools
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with research institutes, universities, engineers, and project managers in the naval shipbuilding industry
