PhD Position in Digital Twin Platform for AI-Supported Obesity Prevention

The Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to contribute to the development of a digital twin platform for AI-supported obesity prevention. As part of the HealthyW8 project, you will work on advancing digital platform design knowledge integrating AI technology in an ethical manner.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a framework to deliver personalized and adaptive recommendations to participants, improving their adherence to the intervention.
- Prototype and evaluate novel extensions to the architecture and recommendation components of an existing platform.
- Collaborate with other PhD students on refining novel information systems techniques for target groups, such as mental healthcare and diabetes management.
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
- Research-oriented attitude, with a focus on accountability, vision, ethics, collaboration, and curiosity.
- Engineering-oriented attitude, with a can-do, will-build, and has-tested mindset.
- Affinity with web development tools, including APIs, databases, and front-end frameworks.
- Curiosity in disruptive business models to address societal challenges and contribute to sustainable development goals.
- Eagerness to work in an interdisciplinary team and a pan-European project.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Good skills for planning, pro-active monitoring, and strategic pivoting.
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level).
- Full-time employment for four years, with an intermediate evaluation after nine months.
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, scale P.
