As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of talented professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional investment solutions to our clients. Our team is responsible for sourcing, examining, and investing in leading public market strategies for clients, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Public Markets Investment Team in the Netherlands.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the process to identify, evaluate, and analyze external public markets investments managed outside of Goldman Sachs. This will involve researching and analyzing both new opportunities and existing external investments, as well as working with small coverage teams to prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations within team meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct due diligence on external public markets investments, including qualitative and quantitative analysis through interactions and engagements with external public markets fund managers.
  • Participate in due diligence visits and calls with new and existing external strategies, monitor performance and the risk profile of existing investments.
  • Support and participate in portfolio construction activities to build and manage a portfolio of multiple external long only investment products.
  • Contribute to a range of group-wide activities including client-related investment projects, various research publications, and business development initiatives.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for investing.
  • Demonstrated orientation toward and interest in understanding financial markets and investment management.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
