Job Summary
This role is responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure as part of a close-knit team delivering best-in-class service to our data center customers. The successful candidate will have a substantial understanding of the job and be able to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgement in resolving issues or making recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Perform facility infrastructure maintenance and ensure preventative maintenance on site infrastructure is run.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor building and data centre alarms.
- Manage permit to work system and oversee vendor maintenance.
- Maintain repairs and run corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Prepare and carry out planned maintenance.
- Complete site logs and data gathering, including MOPs and scripts.
- Assist senior staff with responding to on-site incidents and act as directed.
- Request to begin responding to basic incidents based on own knowledge and experience.
- Complete basic work requests and circuit installations.
- Participate in ongoing infrastructure projects.
- Carry out small works projects, such as lighting upgrades.
Qualifications
- Vocational or Higher Vocational education qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems.
- Previous hands-on experience in engineering, preferably in a critical facilities environment.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
