Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager

At HAL Allergy Group, we are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the environmental, health, and safety management systems and procedures of HAL Allergy B.V. and HALIX.

  • Develop and maintain Health, Safety & Environmental management systems to ensure compliance with local and regional legislation.
  • Coordinate and implement proper working conditions and environmental projects.
  • Ensure organizational activities comply with local health, safety & environment regulations and best practices in the industry.
  • Collaborate with management to set safety standards aligned with applicable regulations.
  • Be responsible for the Emergency Response organization.
  • Develop systems, policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Arrange for exercises and training.
  • Coordinate risk assessments and identify hazards; advise on this matter.
  • Develop and implement preventive actions for potential hazardous situations.
  • Carry out safety inspections and internal audits, and report to management for corrective actions.
  • Ensure preventive measures, hazard control, and personal protective equipment are implemented and used.
  • Record-keep all safety-related events and investigate their causes.
  • Investigate and report accidents and near misses, and advise on and implement preventive measures.
  • Compile accident-related data from departments, divisions, and affiliates, and prepare annual and periodic reports summarizing the safety status.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Hogere Veiligheidskunde or Arbeidshygiëne).
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in pharmaceutical production and/or chemical laboratory, or regulated food production.
  • Good knowledge of both English and Dutch, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of storage and transport of dangerous goods (ADR, PGS-15).
