Job Title: Indirect Tax Transformation Manager

Vitol is a leading energy company with a presence across the spectrum: from oil through to power, renewables, and carbon. We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Transformation Manager to join our team in Rotterdam.

About the Role

The Indirect Tax Transformation Manager will be responsible for improving existing Indirect Tax processes and tools used by the Indirect Tax team. This will involve working in collaboration with regional Indirect Tax team members and individual projects to ensure that Vitol's Indirect Tax structure is well prepared to support our continued growth and global expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage own specific projects as part of the Global Indirect Tax Technology function.
  • Optimize processes and automate manual tasks to ensure the Indirect Tax function is as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Support regional Indirect Tax teams in finding technology solutions when implementing new business/new transactions.
  • Interact and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in tax or similar qualification/experience in Tax, Finance, and Accounting, or data mining related educations.
  • 5+ years of experience in Indirect Tax as an external consultant or in an in-house role.
  • Experience in project management.
  • User experience of desktop data analytics and automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, Tableau, etc.
  • In-house experience in the energy commodities industry is a plus.
