Job Title: Floor Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floor Manager to join our team at Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the shop floor, providing exceptional customer service, and driving sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and operate the store or department in line with company policy.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating high performance and well behavior.
  • Manage stock levels, make key decisions about stock control and ordering, and maintain market awareness.
  • Develop and implement new business processes to maintain a competitive advantage.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written).
  • Diploma in Retail Business or equivalent.
  • Approachable and able to lead by example.
Operational Tasks:
  • Till tasks, cashing up, and ensuring a smooth sales process.
  • Handling returns, merchandise, and stockroom maintenance.
  • Active presentation of merchandise according to VM guidelines.
  • Complete daily/weekly store walk-throughs to evaluate product performance and communicate results to the Store Manager.
Software Knowledge:
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • Knowledge and experience with stock management systems, staff scheduling, till systems, and KPI performance systems.
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Ensure consistent training for the entire team.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating ethical and trustworthy behavior.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
  • Promote an open-door policy and teamwork.
Additional Requirements:
  • Required to stand during scheduled hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and lifting weights of up to 14 kilos.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and colleagues in person or by phone or email.
  • Ability to read, write, and analyze business-related information.
