About the Role:



We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Wärtsilä in Schiedam, The Netherlands. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing long-term maintenance agreement activities to ensure customer satisfaction and meet set quality, financial, cost, and time targets.



Responsibilities:




  • Lead and manage assigned maintenance agreements to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective contract management and implementation.
  • Implement and manage contract management processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on contract performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of contract management best practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to ensure their development and success.


Requirements:




  • Background or education in a technical or commercial field.
  • At least five years of experience in contract management, sales, project delivery, or field service.
  • Native Dutch and excellent knowledge of English, both written and oral.
  • Proven technical experience in marine operations, including internal combustion engine experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled in planning, target setting, and reporting.
  • Wärtsilä knowledge and business understanding.
  • Contract management and process knowledge.
