We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Safety Competence Lead to join our team at ASML. As a key member of our Mechanical Development cluster, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and sustainment of mechanical safety knowledge necessary to ensure the safety and compliance of our products worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive mechanical safety competence roadmap to enable safe and compliant products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain mechanical safety knowledge documents, training materials, and other deliverables.
- Represent the mechanical safety competence in various levels of the organization and ensure alignment with stakeholders.
- Support product safety and compliance targets by sustaining mechanical safety compliance frameworks.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to mechanical safety and disseminate this knowledge throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Advanced certifications in mechanical safety (e.g., OSHA, CMSE, Robotics Safety) are highly desirable.
- 8+ years of proven mechanical design experience for complex systems.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing safety standards and documents in a design environment.
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, EN, NEN, KOSHA) relevant to mechanical systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret international standards on mechanical safety.
- Helicopter view, structured, and proactive.
- Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination, and communication skills.
