Key ResponsibilitiesThe Information Risk Manager plays a crucial role in protecting the AACB organization from IT-related information security and cyber threats. In this capacity, you will critically evaluate the organization's control maturity and risk mitigation strategies. You will provide guidance with your insights into information risk management and proactively align efforts to ensure AACB's processes and IT infrastructure remain secure and operational.
As part of a global team of Information Risk Managers, you will be responsible for developing security plans, conducting risk assessments, providing risk evaluations on incidents and changes, testing controls, utilizing risk management tools, and facilitating training and evaluations. You will also initiate and oversee information security awareness initiatives.
The risk management function reports to the AACB RTO I&ORM, and you will collaborate closely with I&ORM teams located in various regions.
Working EnvironmentAACB operates as a specialized entity within ABN AMRO, holding its own banking license. The organization comprises approximately 1,000 employees and functions independently, managing its support systems. AACB plays a vital role in the financial markets and is subject to rigorous oversight by regulators and central banks.
According to the AAB 3 Lines of Defence model, AACB Risk serves as the second line of defense for Information & Operational Risk Management, with a global focus and regional presence in Europe, the USA, and Asia-Pacific.
Candidate ProfileYou are a risk management professional with extensive experience in information security and strong interpersonal skills. You possess a clear vision and take proactive initiatives. Your risk awareness and stakeholder management abilities are complemented by your assertiveness.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Certification in Information Security Management (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CISA) or a related IT management degree
- Familiarity with Information Security standards and regulations (NIST FS, ISO 27001/2, ISF Standards of Good Practice, GDPR)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, with English as the primary language
