Job Description

NIBC is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Portfolio Management team in Retail Banking. As a Strategic Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for shaping strategic initiatives, participating in cross-functional project teams, and fostering the growth and development of junior staff.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in a subset of fields such as Basel Framework, hedging, pricing, liquidity risk, behavioural modelling, prepayment risk, valuation of mortgage loans, structuring and reporting. They will be fluent in English and Dutch, with excellent analytical skills and a commercial mindset.

You will work closely with the Retail Banking's Management Team and Executive Board Members to make strategic decisions for the company. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the mortgage and savings portfolios to maintain NIBC's market-leading position in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize portfolio performance, including interest rate risk hedging and credit risk assessments.
  • Collaborating with experts from various fields on strategic projects, including those related to data science and structured finance.
