NIBC, a midsize bank with a dynamic and ambitious working environment, is seeking an experienced Strategic Portfolio Manager to join our Portfolio Management team in Retail Banking.

This role offers the opportunity to shape strategic initiatives, participate in cross-functional project teams, and foster the growth and development of junior staff. As a key member of our team, you will drive the management of our mortgage and savings portfolios, leveraging your analytical skills and expertise to maintain our market-leading position in The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data Analysis and Modelling: You will use your analytical skills to analyze complex numerical problems, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Portfolio Management: You will work closely with the Retail Banking's Management Team and Executive Board Members to develop and implement strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Team Collaboration: You will collaborate with experts from various fields on strategic projects, including Structuring and Customer Analytics teams, to drive business outcomes and improve processes.
  • Mentorship and Development: You will act as a mentor to junior colleagues, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow and develop in their roles.

We are looking for an individual with 4-6 years of relevant work experience in a subset of the following fields: Basel Framework, hedging, pricing, liquidity risk, behavioural modelling, prepayment risk, valuation of mortgage loans, structuring, and reporting. You should be fluent in English and Dutch, have a commercial mindset, and be proficient in Python, SQL, and PowerBI.

In return, NIBC offers a competitive salary of approximately €85,000 per year, plus several benefits, including:
