About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Architect to join our Development & Engineering department in Eindhoven. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for translating customer requirements into suitable solutions, working closely with our Business Developers and Account Managers to understand customer problems and assess how NTS can solve them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and discuss possible solutions with customers, presenting them together with our Business Developers and Account Managers.
  • Contribute to project development from the early stages, setting requirements and implementing new advanced system architectures, high-level mechatronics designs, and execution of best-in-class solutions.
  • Be the end-responsible for the technological side of projects, ensuring consistency and meeting functional requirements within cost and timing boundaries.
  • Represent NTS at conferences, fairs, and presentations, staying up-to-date on the latest developments in your area of expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of the NTS technology roadmap and competence development, leading one or more competence teams to enable knowledge growth within the company.
  • Coach and lead a group of professionals in and out of projects.
Requirements
  • Master/PhD degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Physics, or similar).
  • More than ten years of solid background in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing functional architecture of mechatronics system design in a multidisciplinary context.
  • Expert in assessment and mitigation of technical risks using dynamics analysis or creating proof of principle prototypes and designing and performing verification experiments and qualifications.
  • Experience with predictive modeling, FEM analysis, and multi-physics simulations is a must.
  • Experience with vacuum applications, applied optics, opto-electronics, or laser technology is an advantage.
  • Well-developed communication and social skills with a pragmatic attitude, able to convey complex topics in an understandable, pleasant, and convincing fashion.
  • Open-minded, customer-oriented, proactive, and determined, with strong leadership skills and stakeholder management.
  • Proficient in English language.
