About the Job

The Customer Training Manager role at Thales is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a team of trainers and support the delivery of high-quality training programs to customers worldwide. As a key member of the Supportability Engineering department, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Customer Training process, tooling, and centre, as well as recruiting new hires and allocating resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Customer Training team, including trainers and the Welfare Officer
  • Manage the Customer Training process and tooling
  • Manage the Customer Training Centre
  • Recruit new hires in line with the needed skills
  • Allocate resources and manage team planning
  • Estimate project costs as part of the bid process
  • Discuss training results and customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives
  • Develop the roadmap for Customer Training
  • Act as a stakeholder/subject matter expert

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • At least five years of working experience
  • Experience as a line manager with at least 10 direct reports
  • Experience in product/technical training
  • Knowledge of instructional design and training principles
  • Proven ability to plan/schedule in a dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with cost estimation techniques
