About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager Ingredients to join our Intersnack Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for ingredients across the Intersnack Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for ingredients, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the most beneficial commercial agreements.
  • Regularly analyze and report on ingredient market developments within the defined category.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and achieve a pipeline of initiatives, projects, and activities focused on sustainable cost base reduction.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to integrate the category sourcing strategy.
  • Support the delivery of Intersnack Group objectives in terms of cost, quality, service, and innovation.
  • Assist in solving operational issues, such as efficiency workstreams, supply interruptions, and contractual disputes.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as determined by your manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of working experience in strategic procurement in the food industry.
  • Fluent spoken and written English and German required. Additional language skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of flavors and spices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and be a valuable team player with a solid intercultural orientation.
  • Personal drive, proactivity, results-oriented mindset, and business acumen.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel, mainly within Europe (up to 30%).
  • Sense of responsibility towards the company, colleagues, customers, and the planet.
