Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations:
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including stock levels, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained, meeting company standards.
    • Drive sales through 100% execution of customer service standards and sales goals.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Coach and develop employees on the shop floor, providing training and guidance to ensure they meet company standards.
    • Supervise and motivate staff to perform at their best, promoting a positive and energized work environment.
    • Address poor performance and conflict in a fair and professional manner.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customers receive a positive and memorable experience.
    • Effectively manage customer complaints, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operational Tasks:
    • Perform till tasks, cashing up, and ensuring a smooth sales process.
    • Handle returns, merchandise, and stockroom maintenance.
    • Complete daily/weekly store walk-throughs, evaluating product performance, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Software Knowledge:
    • Proficient in MS Office and stock management systems.
    • Knowledge of staff scheduling, till systems, and KPI performance systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, promoting an open-door policy.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating ethical and trustworthy behavior.
    • Motivate team members through a positive and energized atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar retail position.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Diploma in Retail Business or equivalent.
  • Approachable and customer-focused.
Working Conditions

Required to stand during scheduled hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and lifting weights of up to 14 kilos. Ability to work rapidly during peak sales periods to ensure all customers are being serviced properly and store operations are being completed in a timely manner.
