Join ABN AMRO Bank as a Regulatory Advisory Expert and play a key role in shaping the future of our lending strategy. As a member of the Credit Transformation Office, you will be responsible for understanding the root cause and specific regulatory intention behind findings, developing appropriate solutions, and steering the closure of regulatory and audit findings in a timely and effective manner.
About the RoleAs a Regulatory Advisory Expert, your primary responsibility will be to have a clear vision on what target regulatory compliant and efficient credit lifecycle processes look like based on client needs, regulatory requirements, and findings. You will identify gaps versus this vision and use your regulatory expertise to advise FS on the most suitable solutions for gap closure.
You will also be responsible for understanding the background of ECBs observations/findings from a regulatory perspective as well as supervisory expectations and ensuring that there is a common understanding of the observation/finding within ABN AMRO. Additionally, you will properly assess solutions based on signals during the OSI and expert opinions and define the direction that will address the observations, including understanding achievable vs. initiative delivering and timelines and potential trade-offs.
Furthermore, you will define the proper action owner based on the chosen solution, in alignment with responsible recommendation owner. In case of gaps, you will ensure that mitigants/risk acceptances are in place where required. You will also identify root causes of deficiencies in credit risk processes/dependencies and synergies across findings and new regulations/propose sequencing of solutioning to actively resolve them.
About the TeamThe Regulatory Finding Management & Advisory team is located within the Credit Transformation Office, ensuring strategic management of regulatory requirements and findings (incl. audit) within FS and securing and driving their resolution via FCD initiatives or tactical solutions. The team's main aim is to understand the root cause and specific regulatory intention behind the findings, develop appropriate solutions, and steer the closure of regulatory and audit findings in a timely and effective manner.
About YouWe are looking for a proactive, entrepreneurial, and change-driven individual with in-depth regulatory expertise. You should have experience with bank policies and regulations in the field of credit risk and be able to translate these into requirements. You should also have good project management, stakeholder management, and communication skills (both written and oral). Additionally, you should have a strongly developed risk mindset and first line of defence principle.
