The Rotterdam office of OMA is seeking an HR Officer to support our HR processes and employee lifecycle. As HR Officer, you will be the initial point of contact for colleagues regarding personnel policies, people operations, and employment conditions. You will also be responsible for providing advice and ensuring compliance with local employment regulations.

The HR department in Rotterdam is accountable for implementing and managing all processes and policies related to the employee lifecycle in our offices worldwide. This includes processes related to recruitment, employee benefits, salary administration, sick leave, health and safety, and immigration procedures.

In this role, you will be a connector within the organization, prioritizing the needs of people, possessing excellent communication skills, and expert knowledge of HR policies and Dutch labour law.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Human Resources role within the Dutch labour market, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Business Administration, or a related field, and in-depth knowledge of Dutch labour laws and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all aspects of our HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, absenteeism, legal matters, employment conditions, payroll administration, and exit interviews.
  • Monitor and maintain employee files and data, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to HR.
  • Record accurately and on time all new hires, departures, absences, promotions, and other changes.
  • Monitor changes in legislation affecting HR processes and keep policies up-to-date.
  • Promote improvements in our HR systems and policies to achieve greater efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and clear communication of employee data, both internally and to external providers like pension and occupational health providers.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports related to employee leaves, compliance, and other HR metrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Human Resources role within the Dutch labour market.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dutch labour laws and relevant regulations.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Dutch, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with cloud-based HR and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
