About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Hoxton Lloyd, Amsterdam. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, ensuring that all kitchen areas are tidy and well-organized, and supporting our chefs in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-maintained at all times, including the preparation and cleaning of equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Assist the chefs in preparing and cooking food, including washing and peeling vegetables, and cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Maintain a high level of organization and efficiency in the kitchen, including the storage and retrieval of ingredients and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Perform other duties as required by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
