Warehouse Operations Traineeship – Become a Site Manager

Are you a recent (applied) university graduate eager to start a career in warehouse operations and logistics? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing international company while learning how modern logistics work?

At Monday Merch, we specialize in branded merchandise and e-commerce fulfillment, operating from our 3,500m² European warehouse. As a Warehouse Operations Trainee, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, learning about logistics, inventory management, and process optimization to set yourself up for a future in operations.

You will work closely with the warehouse team, operations team and founders on the following.

What You'll Learn & Do1. Lead the European Megacenter (Rotterdam)

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of our flagship 3,500m² facility, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

  • Manage a team of 15 people (scaling to 30 by end of 2025), ensuring structured workflows and a high-performance culture.

  • Optimize warehouse processes, including scanner use, location management, workflow documentation, and automation.

  • Plan and execute warehouse workload using structured ERP-integrated planning tools (in collaboration with the tech team).

2. Drive UK & US Warehouse Expansion

  • Lead the setup of new warehouses in the UK and US, ensuring operational excellence from day one.

  • Establish best practices for warehouse design, racking systems, and process automation across all locations.

  • Work with local partners, logistics providers, and real estate teams to secure optimal warehouse setups.

3. Oversee Strategic Investments & Automation

  • Manage the procurement and implementation of racking systems, forklifts, conveyor belts, and other key assets.

  • Ensure all warehouse investments align with long-term scalability and automation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to facilitate on-site production integration.

4. Optimize Systems & Technology

  • Provide structured input for ERP system enhancements (Odoo) and ensure smooth adoption on the warehouse floor.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI-driven logistics, and inventory management.

  • Collaborate with the tech team to continuously improve system efficiencies.

5. Build & Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop warehouse teams across multiple locations.

  • Foster a culture of efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Motivate and mentor teams to embrace innovation and structured workflows.
