We are seeking a highly motivatedDirector of Business Developmentto drive new business growth across the events and exhibitions industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities. With a strong background in sales—ideally in the experience and exhibitions space—the Director will collaborate closely with our sales, creative, and marketing teams to deliver innovative solutions and client-first experiences.Lead new business efforts by identifying and targeting high-potential prospects, particularly within the corporate sector. Drive sales growth by building and managing a robust pipeline, from prospecting to securing preferred supplier status. Present Spiro’s unique value proposition through engaging presentations and pitches, working closely with the creative team to craft compelling proposals. Collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen brand recognition and maintain consistent communication with prospective clients. Work hand-in-hand with the account management team to ensure seamless transition from business development to account management, maximizing client satisfaction and revenue potential. Monitor and manage sales metrics, ensuring that revenue and profitability goals are achieved. Engage in continuous improvement by identifying new business trends, operational efficiencies, and opportunities for innovation. 5 + years of experience in a senior sales or business development role, within the events or exhibitions industry. ~ Strong track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth through innovative and strategic approaches. ~ Leadership qualities with the ability to influence and drive change. A collaborative team player with a passion for continuous improvement. Technical aptitude in leveraging tools and platforms for business development.Work remotely with flexibility.
