About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Operations & Warehousing to lead and optimize our client's warehouse operations near Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and timely distribution of products across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound distribution. - Team Management:
Lead a team of direct and indirect reports, including supervisors, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators. - Process Optimization:
Implement best practices in warehousing and distribution to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies. - Performance Monitoring:
Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and cost per shipment; develop action plans for continuous improvement. - Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, supply chain planning, and transportation teams to align operations with business objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in warehousing and distribution, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale warehouse operations and leading diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
