We currently have a vacancy for an Application Infrastructure Engineer to offer his/her services as an expert remotely within EU. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team.

Your Tasks

  • Application installation, configuration and administration in production and non-production environments;
  • Application monitoring, performance tuning and continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of service;
  • Applications support and maintenance activities such as incident, change, release and problem resolution;
  • Writing and validating application procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides, backup and restore plans;
  • Automating administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation where required;
  • Contributing to the structuring, maintenance and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting the ICT Operations activities;
  • Reporting on application availability, performance, capacity and overall usage where required.
Requirements
  • University Degree in IT and at least 10 years of IT professional experience;
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments, including deployment, support and maintenance of applications ;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks such as Docker or Kubernetes;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience administering and supporting Elasticsearch;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions;
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Public or Hybrid Cloud services and solutions (AZURE or AWS) would be an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the deployment and administration of Elasticsearch clusters;
  • Good knowledge of micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks using Kubernetes, Helm charts, Docker and Rancher;
  • Good knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chocolatey);
  • Good knowledge of shell and/or PowerShell scripting;
  • Good knowledge of ITIL, including the incident, change and release management processes;
  • Good knowledge of DEVOPS will be an asset;
  • Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and how they interact with applications will be an asset;
  • Good knowledge of Kong API Gateway will be an asset;
  • Good knowledge of Public or Hybrid Cloud services and solutions (Azure or AWS) will be an asset;
  • Relevant certifications would be considered advantageous;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
