Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team, focusing on testing and inspecting Fortinet network security products such as FortiGate, FortiSwitches, and FortiAPs. This role is ideal for candidates looking to start or grow their career in network security hardware testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and quality tests on Fortinet devices (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP).
- Conduct IQC (incoming quality control) tests to verify hardware and firmware integrity.
- Apply firmware and software updates (BIOS, OS, CPLD, SMC) as needed.
- Support device assembly, configuration, and preparation for shipment.
- Document test results and escalate hardware or software issues.
- Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures.
- Perform light assembly or rework tasks as required.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in tech support, hardware testing, or network hardware assembly.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and basic network security concepts.
- Familiarity with Fortinet or similar enterprise networking products is a plus.
- Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic soldering skills (preferred but not required).
- Associate degree or technical training in a related field preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
