Opportunity/Job Purpose:

We're looking for a Sales / Project Engineer who brings equal parts technical credibility and commercial drive.

You'll be responsible for growing our refrigeration business across Europe — managing customer projects from first conversation through to successful delivery.

This role suits someone who thrives on solving real-world problems: electrical integration, charging infrastructure, operational change, and stakeholder alignment. You'll act as the bridge between our customers and our engineering teams, guiding the transition to electric refrigeration systems.

What will you do?

Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, grow and manage customer relationships across the European cold-chain and transport sector.
  • Lead solution-selling projects end to end — from opportunity identification to handover and beyond.
  • Translate technical possibilities into clear commercial value propositions, and visa versa.
  • Coordinate across internal teams (engineering, operations, product) to analyse cases and possibilities, and deliver on commitments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships with OEMs, fleets, and service providers.
  • Represent Maxwell & Spark at industry events and in front of senior stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • Degree (or similar) In Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5–10 years of experience in project engineering, technical sales, or business development (with significant time in the latter two), ideally within transport refrigeration, fleet electrification, or industrial energy systems.
  • Comfortable engaging with both C-suite executives and on-site technicians.
  • Experienced in consultative or solution selling with a project-management mindset.
  • Independent, proactive, and adaptable — capable of working with minimal direction.
  • Fluent in English; additional Dutch, German, or European languages are an advantage.
  • Willing to travel across Europe as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Full-time employment (40 hours per week).
  • A competitive salary depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
  • 8% holiday allowance, calculated on gross salary and paid monthly.
  • Participation in the PMT Pension Fund.
  • Travel and expense allowances.
  • 25 days of paid leave. The number of paid leave days is increased after 2, 4 and 7 years of service.
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
