Finance Intern

At Temper we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance team. This is a hands-on internship where you'll gain broad exposure to daily financial operations and reporting processes within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about both internal and external financial reporting while strengthening your Excel and ERP system skills.

You'll be joining a small, close-knit finance team made up of our CFO, Head of Finance, AP Controller, and Revenue Controller. We strike a great balance: our CFO and Head of Finance are energetic, people-focused leaders who love to share knowledge and involve the team, while our Finance and Revenue Controllers bring a calm, structured, and detail-oriented approach to the work.

The Challenge

Financial Reporting & Month-End Support

• Assist with monthly updates to internal and external reporting packages
• Learn and apply Excel skills to support the reporting process
• Post journal entries in the ERP system under supervision
• Help with basic month-end closing tasks and reconciliations

Accounts & Transactional Support

• Assist with preparing and processing credit notes
• Monitor and manage shared finance mailboxes
• Sort incoming emails and ensure invoices are properly routed to the financial system
• Follow up with budget holders to remind them of invoices pending approval

Administrative & Data Management Tasks

• Prepare and submit simple financial reports to external parties
• Ensure completeness of financial records by adding missing department tags or supporting attachments
• Maintain data accuracy and support ongoing improvement of finance processes

What makes you a great fit

• Currently studying Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Comfortable with Excel and willing to learn advanced functions
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and organized
• Good communication skills and a team player
• Availability for 4 or 5 days a week for 6 months (or at least 5)
• Are officially registered as a member of an educational institution or a student for the complete duration of the internship.

Great to have

• Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite) is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
