Head of HR Strategy & Project Management Office (PMO)

As a key contributor to the success of DLL's strategy, the global HR organization is ever more strategic, empowering the business with better people data and leading our cultural transformation across the organization. We need a strong Strategy and Project Management Office (PMO) to align all key HR initiatives so that we deliver impactful value to the business as one global HR organization. 

As part of the CHRO office, working alongside the HR Leadership Team and reporting to the CHRO, the Head of HR Strategy & PMO is responsible for managing a portfolio of HR projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget, towards achieving the DLL and People Strategy. 

Managing a small team of project managers, the successful candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent organization and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, quality focus, possess a "can-do" attitude, with energy and flexibility to a high-paced global organization. In this role you need to work well in a global environment, be able to represent the HR organization and DLL with professional courtesy, acumen and deliver flawless work output. 

As Head of HR Strategy & PMO, you confidently make independent decisions. You understand what matters to the business, and you actively apply that knowledge to deliver impact. You are accustomed to stakeholder management and have strong influencing and communication skills. You are clear, concise and to the point. You are proactive with a high sense of accountability and ownership to always follow-up. You know when to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential matters.

Day to day:

  • In addition to this, the job performance expectations are:
  • Partner with CHRO and HR Leadership Team towards DLL's strategic ambitions. 
  • Act as deputy representing HR for strategic alignment activities at DLL group level.
  • Manage a team of project managers, and oversee the portfolio of HR projects towards successful implementation of the People Strategy.
  • Continuously evaluate HR roadmap with the People strategy, resource and budget. 
  • Define and track strategic success metrics, HR domain KPI's & functional targets
  • Manage official HR reporting towards internal, executive, and Rabobank stakeholders. 
  • Standardize project management approach with integrated communications across HR
  • Manage HR submissions towards DLL's Executive/ Supervisory Board meetings. 
  • Manage holistic approach towards Works Council / Unions across the organization.
  • Oversee the HR Policy House, HR Committees and other governance set up. 
  • Enable alignment between Corporate Centre & business facing HRBPs on key initiatives.
  • Enhance DLL PMO network and knowledge sharing.
  • This role reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • 10+years' experience working in an agile and global environment.
  • Strong project management skills with change management experience.
  • Experience in leading HR projects is a plus (e.g. technology implementations, restructuring, process improvement, pilot programs, program rollouts, process changes).
  • Superior organization skills in driving a portfolio of simultaneous projects concurrently.
  • High degree of business acumen and empathy and aptitude to lead and influence at a senior level, with ability to work independently and lead global teams.
  • Strategic thinker with outstanding interpersonal skills to influence and be recognized as a thought leader at all levels.
  • Attention to detail with ability foresee emerging roadblocks or derailers and raise the red flag.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with the ability to anticipate change and adapt efficiently.
  • Adaptable team player with experience mentoring people in successful project mechanics.
  • Resourceful to make project management decisions using sound judgement and common sense.
  • Confident, resilient and flexible, with ability to act quickly and efficiently with ease and accuracy.
  • Proven superior communication skills with experience in presenting to senior leadership.
  • Integrity with good judgment and tact in confidential situations. 
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of MS Project or similar project-mapping tool is a plus.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
