Background Information

PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) interns, are part of the PLM department. PLM is part of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P), SS&P is responsible for all incoming and outgoing flows to and from the factory.

There are strong interfaces with Development & Engineering and other Supply Chain departments, such as Customer Supply Chain Management, Sourcing, Production Planning, System Test and Integration and Procurement.
ASML Product Lifecycle Management enables concurrent engineering and co-manage the product lifecycle of all ASML products towards a lean supply chain. For all our Business Lines, with Development & Engineering and Supply Chain Partners, we manage Supply Chain requirements, the introduction and phase out of products, complex parts, engineering changes, related material availability and changes in infrastructure. With the growing focus on re-use of materials, PLM is focusing on maturing their processes for re-use of package materials.

Your Assignment

Within PLM you will be tasked with maturing the packaging material reuse process, defining a centralized way of working for improvement ideas and supporting the setting up of measuring Key Performance Indicators across all PLM teams.
This is a unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of our PLM department and work with us to set the direction for future success of the introduction of reusable packaging materials.

Your profile

To be a perfect match with this internship, you:

Are a master student in industrial engineering, supply chain management, (Industrial) Technology, Business Administration or similar;

Are a self-driven student who enjoys working in a dynamic environment between supply chain and development & engineering;

Enjoy setting up processes and working with data in a multicultural setting;

Have excellent communication skills, and you are fluent in English (both verbal and written);

Are hands-on, pro-active, and have logical thinking abilities.

This is a master level apprentice or graduation (thesis) internship with a duration of 5-6 months, starting as of August / September 2024. The internship requires availability for approximately 3 days a week. The exact content of the internship assignment may be discussed and/or adjusted to the interests and needs of the student.
