Operations Controller, Finance

We’re looking for an Operations Controller to join our Finance team in Poeldijk, Netherlands.  

As Operations Controller, you will report into the Head of Finance and will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes run smoothly, with efficiency and accuracy at the heart of everything you do. An experienced finance specialist, you’ll join a team of 8-10 colleagues and will collaborate to maintain production records within our ERP system and identify key areas for improvement alongside the responsibilities below. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Assisting with the monthly planning and control cycle (management reporting). 

• Analysing production data, including volume, cost, inventory levels and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains. 

• Analyse and compare cost prices to actuals, suggesting proposals to adjust cost prices. 

• Identify and optimise production costs to keep manufacturing processes efficient and economically viable. 

• Record production orders and ensure that inventory and stock movement levels are accurate. 

• Hands on assistance in the Procurement to Pay cycle. 

• General administrative support within the wider accounting department, assisting colleagues through particularly busy or demanding periods. 

Requirements

Experience we look for: 

Essential 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration within Financial Management. 

• Fluency in English and Dutch. 

• Experience with ERP systems (preferably with MS Dynamics). 

Desirable 

• A degree in accounting will be highly beneficial.
• Ability to work flexibly and proactively, responding to challenges in a positive manner and able to bring fresh perspectives to the table. 

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. 

• Willingness to look at existing processes and offer solutions to streamline and make them more efficient. 

• Excellent team player with a collaborative approach.
