About this job
 You will be teaching in the bachelor’s programme of our Academy for Games & Media (AGM). Your job duties will involve teaching students the importance of effective marketing for the benefit of their businesses. Armed with creative and innovative ideas, you will share this knowledge through captivating lectures, workshops, and seminars in the field of creative business. Your focus areas will include digital marketing, marketing communication, data-driven marketing, social media marketing, and creative communication. For this purpose, you will also develop and implement course materials to ensure they meet the highest standards of the Creative Business domain. You collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence and quality. Leveraging your industry experience and connections, you will continually refresh the curriculum and deliver interactive educational experiences.

Your expertise and experience will guide students in developing and executing marketing strategies. You primarily specialise in digital marketing. Topics you may be familiar with are Search Engine Marketing, Online Branding, Social Media Advertising, Online Media Planning, Mobile Advertising and/or Database Marketing. In addition, you will coach and supervise students in the , our in-house media production company, during placements and in graduation projects.

As a lecturer at BUas, you will have the opportunity to guide and support smart and highly committed young individuals on their journey to excellence in the creative business industry. Your role includes providing academic advice and support to students, fostering their personal and professional development.

What do we offer?

The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of € 4,234.28 and a monthly maximum of € 5,936.77 (gross amounts based on full-time employment);  This position is classified in scale 11 of the cao-hbo (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be that of lecturer;  This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract; Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed if you travel by public transport;  You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and 8% holiday allowance in May;  You will receive compensation for health insurance;  You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and approximately eleven weeks of holiday entitlements for a full-time position;  You will be working on a green, sustainable campus near the city centre of Breda;  Moving from abroad to Breda in the Netherlands? We provide support and financial reimbursements in the case of relocation and settling-in in the Netherlands. Dutch tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad (which makes tax rates comparable to the UK and US).

You have creative and innovative ideas on how to share this information and knowledge;  You have a relevant master’s degree; You have a minimum of five years of marketing experience, particularly in digital marketing, marketing communication, social media marketing, strategic marketing and creative communication. As a specialist in your field, you keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in marketing and are always trying to improve and hone your skills;  You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders; You are a strong team player with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive work culture; You have demonstrated understanding and knowledge of higher or university education systems and trends. You have flexibility and adaptability to navigate the dynamic landscape of higher education and the creative sectors; You have an affinity with the creative industries and media industry, with a passion for staying abreast of industry developments; You have a proven track record of innovative thinking and problem-solving; You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a necessity.
