Job Description

As the Upholding Standards Due Diligence Manager, you’ll be part of JDE Peet’s Global Sustainability team—an incredibly diverse group driving our sustainability efforts to shape a better future for coffee and tea. Sounds exciting, right?

In this role, you’ll lead the Global Cross-Functional Human Rights team and collaborate closely with various (senior) internal and external stakeholders. It’s not just about knowing your stuff; it’s also about the people skills you’ve built over the years. You’ll play a key role in ensuring we make a real impact across our value chain.

Here’s what we’d like you to take charge of:

  • Translate complex concepts into real action while aligning with various guidelines and legal requirements
  • Seek opportunities to enhance and streamline our processes, like integrating due diligence into overall factory certification processes
  • Develop and execute communication strategies, as well as elevate awareness and capabilities across the organization
  • Monitor program deployment and  engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, rightsholders and NGOs
  • Manage the process related to annual reporting and updates to human rights due diligence standard operating procedures

  • Pro-active team-player who demonstrates a strategic mindset, providing robust and practical solutions for  due diligence, risk prevention and remediation and to translate complex concepts into actionable plans.
  • Strategic and Orchestration Capabilities: capable of  navigating in a complex business operations and agricultural supply chains, with the ability to mobilise a wide range of stakeholders,  to drive real and meaningful impact with innovative solutions.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communicator, to mobilize the organization
  • Other Skills: Exhibits Autonomy, creativity and strong business acumen
