Flagship Amsterdam is een jonge en snelgroeiende rederij in het centrum van Amsterdam. Wij bieden zowel publieke rondvaarten als privé vaarten aan op onze prachtige open sloepen en klassieke salonboten. We begonnen in 2017 met drie boten, zijn sindsdien gegroeid naar meer dan 53 boten en we groeien nog steeds Jaarlijks verwelkomen we mensen van meer dan 55 nationaliteiten, waarbij we het hele jaar door cruisen met de hulp van ons jonge & ambitieuze team met meer dan 400 (seizoen)medewerkers.

Wat ga je doen? 

Wij zijn op zoek naar een dynamische en resultaatgerichte Head of Operations om ons team te versterken. Als Head of Operations speel je een cruciale rol in het dagelijkse reilen en zeilen van onze organisatie, waarbij je zowel op de werkvloer als op kantoor actief bent.


Als Head of Operations ben je verantwoordelijk voor het soepel laten verlopen van de voorbereidingen, dagelijkse operaties en andere werkzaamheden voor onze (privé) rondvaarten. Je vervult een spilfunctie en hebt daarmee een essentiële eindverantwoordelijkheid voor een optimale verkoop en bezettingsgraad, een efficiënte personeelsinzet en voor de veiligheid en tevredenheid van zowel personeel als klanten.


Tijdens je functie zal je:

  • Leidinggeven aan een team van 5-8 Duty Managers en indirecte verantwoordelijkheid hebben over de kademedewerkers.
  • Volledig inzicht hebben in de dagelijkse on-site beschikbare en verkochte tickets.
  • Analyseren hoeveel extra tickets per dag 'on site' kunnen worden verkocht en rekening houden met de boekingsperiode voor de juiste dagelijkse bezetting aan boord.
  • Resultaatgericht te werk gaan.
  • Eindverantwoordelijk zijn voor de afdeling Planning, die verantwoordelijk is voor de korte en langere termijnplanning. Indien nodig schaal je de personeelsinzet op- en af op dagelijkse basis om een optimale bezettingsgraad te waarborgen.
  • Het team op verschillende locaties aansturen en motiveren om resultaten te behalen.
  • Dagelijkse operationele problemen oplossen, zoals klachten van klanten, om een positieve klantrelatie te behouden en de algehele klantervaring te verbeteren.
  • Kansen identificeren en efficiëntieslagen uitvoeren om concurrentie voor te blijven.
  • Technische mankementen signaleren en zorgen voor tijdige oplossingen.
  • In samenwerking met de CAPS-manager strategieën ontwikkelen om de juiste balans te vinden en ervoor te zorgen dat zowel online als offline verkoopkanalen efficiënt worden gebruikt.
  • Medewerkers heldere, stapsgewijze werkinstructies geven met controlepunten om ervoor te zorgen dat taken efficiënt worden uitgevoerd.
  • Beslissingen nemen over het op- of afschalen van het aantal boten en personeel op basis van de verkoopresultaten en de verwachte drukte.
  • De omzet maximaliseren door de capaciteit optimaal te benutten.

Functievereisten:
  • Minimaal een afgeronde MBO- of HBO-opleiding in een relevant vakgebied;
  • Aantoonbare ervaring in een vergelijkbare leidinggevende rol, bij voorkeur in de maritieme, toerisme of horecasector;
  • Kennis van operationele processen in de rondvaartindustrie is een pre.
  • Sterke probleemoplossende vaardigheden en het vermogen om snel en effectief te reageren;
  • Je bent resultaatsgericht en zit altijd kort op de bal;
  • Vermogen om weloverwogen beslissingen te nemen, vooral in drukke situaties of bij onverwachte gebeurtenissen;
  • Beschikbaar in de weekenden en avonden.
