We are now looking for a
Product Manager
To join our team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. As a Product Manager, you will identify and generate telecom and data center business opportunities in collaboration with sales team members. You will also collaborate globally with R&D, operations, and supply chain. Broad technical expertise, and strong knowledge in optical networks, telecommunications, and data centers, are key to succeed in this role. We welcome experienced professionals but can offer a tailored path for new graduates eager to become experts in advanced optical fiber systems.
This role offers autonomy and encourages entrepreneurial thinking in a global setting. Although based in the Netherlands, you'll represent our factories across the USA, Europe, and Brazil. You'll join a team of motivated and dedicated members and report to our Optical Fiber Commercial Director.
Your main tasks
Develop and maintain strong relationships with cloud, colocation, and telecom operators to influence customer strategic decisions as well as network deployments. Work closely with sales and R&D to implement and execute strategies to develop new business opportunities for advanced optical fiber systems. Coordinate with Prysmian’s international sales teams to open business development interactions with strategic customers. Recognize market and technological trends, use market research, and attend tradeshows to anticipate future directions for the portfolio and identify innovation opportunities. Drive successful launch of new products, guide to optimize current product portfolio and forecasts. Serve as a primary technical respondent to customer claims, working with Sales Managers to close claims expeditiously. Provide customer training and customer support, both remotely and on-site. Responsible for product specifications and application notes. Organize trade shows, product presentations, press releases, and white papers. Create and maintain product data sheets. Create marketing and sales support materials. Identify new markets and applications. Identify competitor product development and market strategy. Understand the Sales Order creation process & logistic flow in SAP. Maintain Specialty Optical Fiber price guidelines. Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems. Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines. Estimated 30 % travel (typically in Europe and in the USA)As a Product Manager at Prysmian
You are an enthusiastic, reliable, and solution-oriented employee who does not shy away from a challenge and continuously seeks improvement. You can inspire customers, capture their imagination, and win them over. You have a relevant Master’s degree in Engineering (for example, electronics, optical, or laser engineering) We highly value candidates with a PhD in optoelectronics or other relevant fields. You have optical fiber systems and applications knowledge, multimode, single-mode, and specialty fibers. Preferably you have substantial experience with data center networks, and optical transceivers in a technical role. Product Management experience and knowledge of the optical cable production process is preferred. You are fluent in English. Other language skills such as Spanish or French are a plus.Additional benefits
