Job Title: Payroll Process & Transformation Lead
Reports to: Global Process Owner, HR
Location: Amsterdam, NL /London, UK / Heidelberg, Hamburg or Berlin, Germany/ Valencia, Spain.
Job Summary
As the Payroll Transformation Lead, you will be responsible for leading the evolution of our end-to-end payroll processes whilst developing and implementing global and regional strategies for payroll renewal and payroll vendor consolidation. This is a strategic role requiring experience in payroll implementations, multi-country payroll service delivery management, process improvement and payroll compliance/controls. The role also requires ability to analyze and recommend improvements for details such as: design of payroll data flows; support for gathering of payroll interface requirements; review of test scenarios; design, ownership and management of payroll SOX controls; reviewing robustness and completeness of country-specific SOPs; liaison with Finance on GL requirements; scoping and governance of implementation projects
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop a comprehensive payroll transformation strategy tailored to each of ADM’s Regions including development of business case for change. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including HR, Finance, IT, and Legal teams, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to payroll transformation. Manage relationships with global payroll service providers/technology vendors.Identify opportunities for process improvement and organization structure optimization within the payroll function. Build and collaborate with ADM regional and country payroll leaders to ensure transformations are guided by global goals and designs. Project Leadership: Lead and manage projects:Support and drive planning and delivery of complex payroll implementations from initiation to completion supported by IT, PMO and country payroll teamscoordinate small payroll implementation/consolidation/transition projects from initiation to completion. Process Standardization & Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the payroll function.Work closely with regional payroll teams to share best practices and drive the standardization, consistency and complianceMonitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for ongoing enhancement.Review country-specific payroll processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Technology Integration: Evaluate advanced payroll technologies, including payroll software, automation tools and data analytics to streamline processes and improve overall payroll operations. Ensure payroll data structures are optimized to leverage and align with the global HCM and Workforce Management (time/attendance) solutions.Work with IT teams plan and manage implementation of new payroll applications and tools and integrate payroll systems with other enterprise-wide applications.Collaborate with Time & Attendance Process Lead to ensure full alignment of strategy, roadmap and process integration between payroll systems and time & attendance systems. Risk & Controls Management: Monitor global payroll compliance trends and requirements to ensure adequate response to regulatory changes.Implement and maintain a robust framework for managing payroll-related risks on a global scale.Define and manage a robust set of SOX controls for payroll processes.

Change Management:

Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new payroll processes and technologies. Provide guidance and support to regional teams Ensure training approaches during implementations (including development of training materials) are robust and effective. Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the payroll transformation.Implement robust reporting mechanisms to track and communicate progress to leadership. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure seamless integration of payroll solutions.Oversee global/regional vendor performance to ensure service excellence.Teach country payroll leads to contribute effectively to management of local vendors Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, CSCP) is a plus. Proven experience of leading payroll transformations in multi-country organizations. In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and relevant technologies. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders. Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
