Generic DM:
As a member of the Cluster MT, contribute to the strategy and business plan and execution thereof for the Cluster and translate to annual operational plan for own department. Contribute to the success of the cluster and sector by taking ownership beyond the scope of own department. Define departmental roadmap, based on technical developments and ASML product roadmap.
Ensure the implementation of the annual plan, manage the activities in the department, taking into account applicable guidelines and procedures. Drive the development of the department to meet the long term capacity and capability needs.
Hire, lead, coach and appraise employees and develop (cooperation between) employees of the assigned department, utilizing the relevant HR instruments, service and procedures;
Manage CAPEX and OPEX according to budget and monitor financial performance versus plans and budgets.
Ensure projects are feasible (decide on trade-offs between impact and resource requirements, review project plans, technical content and budgets and assess quality and capacity of suppliers); monitor that projects are delivered as planned (shared ownership of project deliverables with Program).
Define an optimum organization structure for the department so that resources are optimally utilized and communication can take place in an efficient manner.
DMs will supervise GLs on staffing, prioritization and execution.
Monitor all relevant internal and external developments with regard to the own discipline/competence and initiate new ways of working to optimize processes in order to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency of processes.
Drive and improve quality standards.
Drive to shape the required organization to be fit-for-future with regard to security and compliancy standards
Content specific responsibilities:
Compliance
Management of (applicable) regulatory and operational compliance risks for the R&D related sectors
Translation of regulatory / operational compliance risks to R&D specific policies, procedures and responsibilities
Creation of compliance programs
Organizational change management with regards to compliance risk management and responsibility embedding in the R&D organization (including communication and awareness)
Drive compliance risk management embedding and sustaining in the R&D organization
Compliance assessments and status reporting
Organize for continuous improvements
Interface with sector Risk & Business Assurance’ sector facing team on compliance and security
Security
R&D Sector Security Risk strategy
Interface with R&D operational security risk management for strategy execution and reporting on progress and compliance
R&D Sector Security Risk Management
IT
Secure D&E compliancy priorities within IT “run” and “change” portfolio.
Travelling
In this role travel can be up to 10% (travel to customers, design partners or other development locations of ASML)
Education
Master’s degree or PhD, background in Engineering or Physics.Experience
10+ years of experience in the international high-tech industry, of which:
Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a people leader role.
Proven leadership and experience in leading international teams
Understanding of way-of-working in leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing facility.
Fluency in English.
Ability to work both independently and in team settings in highly ambiguous environments.
Demonstrated ability to perform in high-pressure environments.
Proven track record in building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, both internal as well as external.
10+ years of experience in Risk management related responsibilities
