D2X is looking for a Legal & Compliance Intern to join its office in Amsterdam

What we do 

D2X is a regulated crypto derivatives exchange for institutions, based in the Netherlands. In 2024, D2X became the first entity in the EU to receive a MIFID II MTF licence authorising it to list regulated crypto futures and options. With institutional demand for digital assets on the rise, our exchange fills a crucial gap by offering institutions a regulated trading platform open 7-days-a-week. Our mission is to facilitate the seamless adoption of crypto derivatives by financial institutions.

In a nutshell

We are seeking candidates who are ambitious, have a strong desire to continuously learn, and have a strong interest in financial markets. The ideal candidate must have the ability to multitask, work independently, be flexible and work well within a global environment.

What you'll do

  • Assist with the onboarding and review process of clients (Members);
  • Ensuring that all Member-related information of the existing and future Members is up to date, including periodic checks and risk assessments;
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts and engagement letters;
  • Contract management and keeping our corporate governance files up to date;
  • Assist with the implementation of (new) regulation (e.g. (market) conduct rules).

Next to the above-mentioned, you will also get the chance to be involved in other legal and compliance topics depending on the timing of your internship and your own interests.

Requirements

  • Min. Bachelor's degree, Master is preferred in Law;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch;
  • Previous internships and/or paralegal experience are a plus;
  • Pragmatic, attentive to details, eager to learn. You show responsiveness, organization, and analytical spirit. You have great social skills that will promote your integration;
  • A positive attitude with a can-do approach;
  • A strong interest in cryptocurrency and digital assets;
  • Eligible to work in the Netherlands;
  • Available for 40 hours per week. Please, note we are also open to exceptional students who can commit to being available for fewer hours per week (at least 24 hours per week).
